Tokens are credits that power all imgserv operations. 1 token = 1 transformation (resize, crop, filter, etc.), 50 tokens = 1 AI generation (or 10 with your OpenAI key). Uploads cost 2 tokens (Starter) or 1 token (Pro). Downloads and viewing cached images are always free.
Yes! Monthly allocations roll over up to a cap: Starter can save up to 3,000 tokens (3 months worth), Pro up to 150,000 tokens. Once you hit the cap, new monthly tokens arrive but excess is lost. Purchased token packs never expire while you're subscribed.
Your service pauses gracefully. Existing images still work and are served from cache, but you can't upload or transform new ones. Pro users can buy token packs instantly ($10-$60) to resume, or wait until next month when tokens refresh. You'll get email notifications at 80%, 90%, and 100% usage.
We track the total size of all your uploaded images in GB. Starter includes 5GB (~1,000 images), Pro includes 100GB (~20,000 images). If you exceed your limit, you're charged overage at the end of billing: $2/GB for Starter, $1/GB for Pro. Your dashboard shows real-time usage and projected costs.

Yes! The Starter plan includes a full 14-day trial with complete access and full token allocation (1,000 tokens) without entering any payment info. If you don't add payment by day 15, your account enters read-only mode until end of first month, then suspends (but images are preserved for 90 days). Pro plan requires payment upfront but you can cancel anytime for a full refund within the first 14 days.
